The baby’s room – An owl

Owl

I hope our baby likes birds because I’ve just noticed there seems to be an unintentional bird theme developing in the nursery! It’s quite sweet really  and I think it works perfectly for either a boy or girl (yep, we have no idea what we’re having!).

I stumbled across the pattern to make these owls online. You need to do a bit of thinking because it just gives you the basic shape for the body and the wings, but that’s the fun thing about it, you can be as creative as you like and your result will always be unique! I used the left over fabrics from the birds I made for the mobile, it’s lovely to have all the fabrics and colours of the owl, mobile and bunting tying in together. I still have a bit of fabric left over so next up it’s bibs… I will let you know how they go 🙂

The owl sits on the spare bed in the nursery along with my beloved old monkey ‘George’, they make a very happy couple. If you would like to have a go at making an owl you can download the pattern from here.

I think you need a pussy cat and a moon for your owl.
